2nd Annual New York Photo Festival 2009
The Second Annual New York Photo Festival begins today in DUMBO, Brooklyn.
The Festival Curators for NYPH 09 include photo editor Jody Quon (New York Magazine); William A. Ewing, Director of the Musée de l’Elysée in Lausanne; and Jon Levy, founder of Foto8 and publisher of 8 Magazine as well as founder of HOST Gallery in London.
In addition to the curated exhibitions of contempory photography, the festival will also offer an extensive range of activities including seminars, slide shows, book signings, photographic workshops, live performances and events, and a gallery row.
The festival will be documented online with regularly updated bulletins.

An eyewitness record of world events is currently on tour around the world. An exhibition of images which won the World Press Photo Contest last year are on show at galleries across several continents. A showcase for creativity in photojournalism, the exhibition has a longstanding following among both professional photographers and the general public.
The tour, which began in Amsterdam last year, is now in its final stages and can be seen at the following galleries:
